Projectv0.3.2
Junto
Junto puts coding agents on one canvas and lets them talk.
Each agent you run gets a permanent seat with its own folder and a session that survives restarts. Draw a line between two seats and those two agents can message each other. Free, for macOS on Apple silicon.
01
The pain
- You are the relay. Codex prints a report, and you paste it into the pane of the agent that needs it.
- Past a handful of panes, you lose track. Who is stuck, who is done, who is waiting on you.
- A restart takes the sessions with it. Come back to a long task and the context is gone.
02
How it works
Each seat runs your agent's own CLI (Claude Code, Codex, Grok, and others) in a terminal Junto keeps open, in the folder you chose, and resumes the same session after a restart. Draw a line between two seats and they can message each other: one sends with junto msg send, the other sees a one-line notice and reads with junto msg list when it's ready. Everything stays on your machine, and Junto never writes to your agents' config.
| before | with Junto |
|---|---|
| you copy one agent's output into another's terminal | agents mail each other |
| nothing limits which agent talks to which | only seats joined by a line you drew can talk |
| a session ends with its tab | a seat resumes its session after a restart |
| you switch tabs to see who is working | one canvas showing every seat as idle, working, or waiting |
03
Where it fits
Where agents work together. Each seat runs the agent you already use, with the tools it already has.
